Donald Trump ‘threw Starbursts at Angela Merkel’ during heated G7 summit.PHOTOS

Donald Trump reportedly threw a handful of Starbursts at Angela Merkel just after that iconic G7 summit photo was taken.
If you haven’t seen it yet, the photo of the German Chancellor bearing down on the sulking president is totally glorious.
Some have likened it to a renaissance painting, and for good reason – it manages to perfectly capture the tension at the heated summit in Canada. And now it has emerged that moments after it was taken, Trump apparently stood up, rummaged around his pockets for some sweeties and threw them towards Merkel, adding: ‘Here, Angela. Don’t say I never give you anything.’
Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer, who was at the summit, told CBS: ‘Trump was sitting there with his arms crossed, clearly not liking the fact that they were ganging up on him.
‘He eventually agreed and said OK, he’ll sign it.
‘And at that point, he stood up, put his hand in his pocket, his suit jacket pocket, and he took two Starburst candies out, threw them on the table and said to Merkel, “Here, Angela. Don’t say I never give you anything.”’The summit ended in a cloud of uncertainty as Mr Trump backed out of the joint statement released by the global leaders.
He also described Canada’s Justin Trudeau as ‘dishonest and weak’ after the two clashed over trade.
Theresa May can also be seen in the famous image, along with the leaders of France and Japan – Emmanuel Macron and Shinzo Abe.
During the meeting, Mr Trump described his relationship with other leaders as a ’10’ – but although he identified Mrs Merkel, Mr Macron and Mr Trudeau by name, he did not single out Mrs May.
Mr Trudeau said the leaders had agreed a joint communique, adding: ‘We had some strong, firm conversations on trade and specifically on American tariffs.’But Mr Trump later pulled out of the statement in a fiery tweet.
He wrote: ‘Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive tariffs to our US farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our US Reps not to endorse the communique as we look at tariffs on automobiles flooding the US market!
‘PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, ‘US tariffs were kind of insulting’ and he ‘will not be pushed around’. Very dishonest and weak. Our tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!’
The US president had accused other states of ‘robbing’ his country through trade policies and proposed scrapping tariffs across the G7.
