Peter Obi links restiveness, agitation to bad economic policies

Mr. Peter Obi, Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has blamed the spate of restiveness and unemployment to poorly planned economic policies and implementation by the nation’s political leaders.

Obi who spoke at a crusade organised by the Lord’s Chosen Church at Mgbidi in Imo State added that the problem could be solved if leaders make little sacrifices for the progress and development of the country.
Obi said that though the problems of the country were many, what it required is a committed leadership to begin the process of solving those problems and within a short time, the country would be back on track.
He accused successive leaders of lacking the courage to implement policies as they should.
He said that it was the reason for the spate of unemployment, restiveness and agitations in the country.
He assured Nigerians that as a wealth creator and one of the biggest employers of Labour in Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, knows how to solve the problems of the country as contained in his Action Plan.
The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, thanked Mr. Obi for his efforts at always being close to God.
He noted that even as a governor, Obi did not miss the church’s programmes.
