Enugu State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has threatened to boycott Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections if the Independent National Electoral Commission,  INEC, failed to produce result sheets for the election.

They alleged that PDP agents led by a serving senator had taken full posession of all the sensitive electoral materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, office in Enugu and were removing the result sheets to make sure they had their way on Saturday.

They further alleged that PDP agents along with the state chairman, Augustus Nnamani, were enjoying unfettered access into the CBN where the materials were deposited even as stern looking policemen prevented APC agents from gaining entrance to inspect polling materials.

According to Nwoye, he was walked out of CBN when he responded to distress calls from some APC agents at the apex bank “but to my utter surprise, the state chairman of the PDP , Augustine Nnamani was given a warm reception in an air conditioned room inside CBN.”

INEC and CBN officials however dismissed the allegation as false and baseless and urged all to come out and vote.
He said when he tried to find out from He stressed that APC agents were not allowed inside, because they reported late at the CBN even as they informed us that  they were late.

Nwoye said PDP agents, masquerading as agents of the numerous smaller parties were all over CBN having a field day, under the cover of INEC and police He said it was “obvious the REC and the police were already compromised by PDP and they were doing everything possible to satisfy their paymasters in PDP,” warning that unless the result sheets were produced by  INEC, APC would be left with no option than to boycott the election.

“We have moved away from vote buying to election and security buying.

The REC is pretending to be fair, yet he is not fair. The police are pretending to be fair, but they are not fair.

PDP claims they are popular. Why won’t they allow the only strong alternative party to contest? This particular election, if it goes on this way, we will not participate,” he added.

He further stated that a PDP agent disguised as masked security personnel and when the mask was removed, he turned out to be a card carrying member of PDP.
